ALUMINIUM ALLOY GRATINGS.
We have developed in-house design and methodology for manufacturing ALUMINIUM ALLOY GRATINGS with special techniques as aluminium material is extremely difficult to handle. It requires a technique to manufacture aluminium gratings and with great effort we have carried out a research and developed a methodology for fabricating ALUMINUM ALLOY GRATINGS.

Aluminium material on its own is not very good as a structural material but aluminium alloy when blended with other metallic element improves its structural properties and is suitable for load carrying capacity.

We are introducing a wide range of ALUMINIUM GRATINGS as aluminium alloy material is less susceptible to corrosion. It can resist extreme critical environment of acidic fumes and highly saline atmosphere. Therefore aluminium gratings are extremely suitable for walking platform. Aluminium alloy is light in weight and good for lighter load applications which also reduces cost of super structure and good for following applications.

NOTES ON COMPARISON BETWEEN ALUMINIUM AND GALVANIZED GRATINGS

Galvanization is hot dip process for which MS articles are dipped in molten zinc which form zinc alloy on MS Surface and final surface is of pure zinc film.

As zinc is susceptible to oxidized and immediately when it comes in contact and forms thin layer in form of oxidized zinc dust. This zinc dust are fine molecules of zinc which on erosion floats into nearby atmosphere. ZINC DUST with lead particles CONTAMINATES FOOD and not good for human consumption. Therefore it is good to use aluminium alloy for above referred industries.

We have supplied many aluminium gratings in such industries and recently we have supplied to WATER TREATMENT PLANT at Qatar.

Please note aluminium being LIGHT i.e.1/3RD WT OF STEEL, its self wt. is very low and therefore the superstructure carrying aluminium grating platform composed of steel will not only be of lighter section but also one can achieve ECONOMY IN SUPER STRUCTURE.

In highly saline atmosphere galvanized steel starts corroding after three years.

Therefore in offshore rigs, Aluminium Grating is most ideal.

In view of the above, aluminium grating has got better edge compared to galvanized grating.
